Google Drive Storage Space
Drive is the main app in G Suite and is designed to store all your documents (files), photos, videos, email attachments and other work you complete on Classroom.
Drive uses the cloud technology, this means that you can access your documents (files) on many other computer devices, including mobile devices, you just need to log in to access your documents.
You will quickly fill up Drive with many documents (files), the easiest way to find your work is to organise the Drive and give a meaningful name to the files and folders.

What you can see in 'Shared with me'
files shared with you
folders shared with you
Starting with the most recent file that was shared with you, you’ll see:
the date when the file was shared with you
the owner of the file
the document type.
Note: You are not the owner of the file/folder that is being shared with you. However, you can Right click the file/folder and Make a copy to save it to your Drive and become the owner.
You can remove a shared file or folder
in Shared with me
right-click the file that you want to remove
click Remove.
You can upload, view, share and edit files with Google Drive.
In the top left click + New >>> File upload or Folder upload.
Alternatively, drag your file or folder into the Google Drive folder you want it to be saved.

When you upload a file to Google Drive, it will take up space in your Drive, even if you upload to a folder owned by someone else.
You can download a file or folder, in your drive:
Select the file/folder you want to download.
Right click on the file/folder.
click Download.
To download multiple files, press Command (Mac) or Ctrl (Windows) while clicking other files. Right-click and click Download.
Note: You can't drag a file or folder directly to your desktop.
If you can't download a file, the owner may have disabled options to print, download or copy for people with commenting or viewing access.
You can find files/folders in Google Drive, Docs, Sheets and Slides by searching for:
file title
file contents
items featured in pictures, PDF files or other files stored on your Drive
Note: To make your search more effective it is best to give a meaningful name to your files and folders in Drive.
You can only search for files stored in My Drive.
Files stored in folders shared with you won't appear in your search unless you add the folders to My Drive.
If you deleted something recently using Google Drive, you might be able to restore the file yourself.
Restore from your bin
on a computer, go to drive.google.com/drive/bin
right-click the file that you would like to recover
click Restore.
Your storage space is shared across Google Drive, Gmail, Google Photos.
To see how much space you have left, on a computer, go to google.com/settings/storage.
IMPORTANT: When your account reaches its storage limit, you can’t send or receive emails.
Clear space in Google Drive, Gmail and Google Photos to make room for new items.
