This is an unfinished list of resources. Unfinished, because I hope that it will be a continually expanding list. In that sense, it will always be in beta, always unfinished — a work-in-progress — as resources and supports grow and as technologies improve to support a more just world.
It is focused on making anti-racism a central part of our creative practice, but it does attempt to include resources that are intersectional with other equity-denied groups. The idea is to improve inclusion in general.
It has been compiled from multiple sources. Often, each link has its own creator/s, and I encourage you to investigate how you can support them.
I have tried my best to credit others by name wherever possible, and I would be happy to add names or correct any credits I've got wrong. For updates, corrections or edits, and most importantly, if you have any resources you’d like to suggest for this toolkit, please feel free to contact me.
It is my hope that this toolkit will continue growing through crowdsourced suggestions and it is being shared freely for the common good, under the aegis of a Creative Commons licence.
Quote or link to this toolkit freely — you do not need permission. Simply include attribution as required by the licence. That attribution will ensure that this list, and awareness of the cause it supports, continue to grow.
In peace, with love, for justice,
Gavin Barrett
I am grateful to have found welcome in this land, in the spirit of the Dish with One Spoon Covenant and pledge to work for reconciliation. This land has been the traditional territory of the Mississaugas, Anishnabeg, Chippewa, Haudenosaunee and Wendat peoples, and are Treaty 13 and Williams Treaties lands.
