Love, Delivered. Celebrating the Yellow School Bus
February is nationally recognized as Love the Bus Month, a time when schools and communities across the country come together to celebrate the yellow school bus and the professionals who safely transport students each day. This month-long observance highlights the essential role student transportation plays in education, while offering an opportunity to recognize the commitment, care, and responsibility behind every route. Love the Bus Month reminds us that safe, reliable transportation is foundational to student access, learning, and success.
Love the Bus Month goes beyond recognizing safety—it underscores the critical role student transportation plays in supporting education and community connection. By valuing the work of transportation professionals, we help strengthen workforce pride and encourage future recruitment, ensuring students continue to have access to dependable transportation for years to come.
This month also serves as a reminder of the daily dedication required to ensure every student arrives at school ready to learn and returns home safely. The yellow school bus is often where school days begin and end, fostering responsibility, routine, and connection. By elevating awareness and appreciation for this essential service, Sample District Bulletin Blurb (to be used in district publications, websites, and/or social media) to introduce and/or celebrate Love the Bus Month communities can come together to support and sustain strong, reliable student transportation systems.

If your BCMS student does not have a device (Chromebook, laptop, desktop, etc) at home that he/she can do schoolwork on , have them pick up a technology form from the Media Center, This form will have to be completed and signed by a parent and returned to the BCMS Media Center. When the form is returned, a Chromebook and charger will be checked out to your student. The Chromebook and charger will remain at home until the school asks for it to be returned in the spring.
