BCMS Principal
Dear Trojan Families and Students,
As we move through the winter season and navigate snow days and Non-Traditional Instruction, I want to take a moment to reflect on the strength and kindness of the Barren County Middle School community.
The recent winter storm reminded us how important it is to look out for one another. I am proud of the patience, flexibility, and care shown by our students, families, and staff—whether that meant checking on neighbors, helping clear driveways, or simply offering encouragement during a challenging time. These moments of support reflect the values we work to build every day at BCMS.
As we return to school, our focus is on reconnecting, re-establishing routines, and supporting one another both academically and emotionally. Some students may need a little extra time to get back into the rhythm, and that’s okay. Let’s continue to show kindness, understanding, and respect as we settle back into learning together.
Thank you for being such a strong, caring community. When we work together and look out for each other, we make Barren County Middle School a place where everyone feels safe, supported, and valued.
We are glad to have our students back and look forward to a great month ahead.
Sincerely,
Joey Bunch
