Permit Requirements

Students are required to take a printed Permit Form with them when taking their Permit Test.

Contact the BAVEL office a minimum of 2 weeks prior to your appointment in order to receive the signed/sealed documentation in time.

Kentucky public school personnel must verify that students are in compliance with KRS 159.051(16 or 17 year old student shall be deemed compliant if...)

• he/she has less than 9 unexcused absences

• has passed 4 of 6 courses, or the equivalent in the preceding semester
