Baron's Champion

At Village Faire, Darkwater will be holding its Baron's Champion Tournament, where you will fight for the opportunity to represent the Barony on the heavy field for the next year.  The Tournament will be a double elimination tournament, where each combatant will bring the two handed weapon of their choosing until the semi-finals.  For the semi-finals and finals we will ask that the combatants fight with matched two handed weapons, with the finals being best two out of three.

All fighters are requested to submit a Letter Of Intent to the Baron prior to entry in to the Lyst.  While I ask that you put your artistic foot forward, we will have notecards and crayons on site for those who have not prepared in advance.  For those entrants that wish to participate in an extra challenge, I ask that the letter you deliver be more then just a request for entry.  I ask that you get creative and show your artistic side in a way where the focus is on the one who inspires you to fight in this Tournament.  The letter that touches Their Excellencies Hearts the most, will be awarded a prize. Any that wish their letter back after the tournament as a gift to their inspiration, know your request will be granted.

Rapier Tournament 

The Rapier Tournament will be a "bull fight" fought in a round robin format (number of pits determined by how many participants we have). Combatants will draw tokens blindly to determine their role: one combatant will be the matador, and one the bull. The matador must fight with either single sword or sword and cloak. The bull may fight with single sword, brace, or sword and dagger. There will be a special prize for the winner!

Baronial Huntsman - Archery Tournament

The Baronial Huntsman invites you to join him on a hunt to restock the larder.  Bring home game large and small, the most proficient archer will be honored as the new Huntsman.  This challenge will consist of three rounds (2 untimed, 1 timed), and may be shot any time the range is open on Saturday.
