Holmdel Park

Holmdel Park

The Holmdel Park Cross Country Course is considered by some to be on the list of the hardest XC courses in the country. Most well known for the second mile, the bowl will eat you up and spit you out if you are not tough enough...it has brought many a runners to a walk. Holmdel is not just challenging for the Bowl, its first mile is starts with a decent climb and falls into a roller coaster before flattening out. The third mile is not a walk in the park either, with sharp turns, ups and downs, roots and rail ties, it is sometimes breakneck fast coming to the finish. Overall times are often significantly slower on this course when comparing them to other courses during the season. We usually run this course 2 times throughout the season, one time for an invitational, and then for Group States if we make it out of sectionals.
