GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
This site is under constant development, please check back frequently for changes or updates.
The Barnegat Girls Cross Country Program is a young program (the youngest in Ocean County) when compared to its Ocean County and Shore Conference Counterparts. The program was started in 2009 when the school first opened its doors. It has not looked back since. The Girls XC has been a consistent contender in B-South over the course of its career. The team is always looking to grow and attract more athletes to join the team.
Currently, the Head Coach is Bob Klaslo, he serves as a Social worker on the Child Study Team at the High School, and has been the head coach of the program since 2012. Coach Klaslo was a competitive swimmer throughout High School while attending Toms River High School North, and continued swimming at Salisbury University. He is a passion for competitive running outside of swimming, and has completed several marathons, triathlons, and other competitive running events. He has been a competitive Ocean Lifeguard for the past 24 years, and still guards during the summer. In addition to coaching the Girls XC team, he has been working with the middle school Track program since 2012, and has been the head coach since 2015.
