About Me!

Hi! My name is Mrs. Lindsay Motil, and I have been teaching for 15 years. This is my seventh year teaching first grade in Barberton, though I have taught first grade for 12 years altogether. I was born and raised in Barberton, graduating from Barberton High School in 2003. After high school, I graduated from Ashland University in 2007 with my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. In 2021, I completed my Master's degree in Education with a concentration in Reading Literacy from Walsh University.

I taught first grade at St. Augustine School in Barberton for 6 years before moving to Copley-Fairlawn City Schools, where I taught RTI and ESL. I began teaching at my alma mater in 2016 and I absolutely love it here! Once a Magic, always a Magic!

My husband and I welcomed our first child, Landon, in 2016 and  in 2019, our little girl, Molly, joined our family. We also have a fur baby - a black lab named Rudy, who's 10 years old. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family.

First grade is a year of many firsts, and I'm so excited to share in this journey with you!
