Bantucola is more than an organization—it is a developing ecosystem designed to connect business, education, media, research, culture, and community leadership into one unified structure. Our work focuses on creating real pathways for opportunity while addressing long-standing barriers such as limited access to capital, displacement, economic inequality, and the underrepresentation of Black entrepreneurs and communities in key industries and decision-making spaces.

At Bantucola, everyone who supports our mission plays an important role in strengthening Black-owned businesses, advancing economic opportunity, and building a connected and sustainable community ecosystem. Supporters are not passive participants—they are active contributors to vision, growth, accountability, and impact.
Below are the core expectations for all who support Bantucola:
Uphold and actively support Bantucola’s mission, vision, and guiding principles
Champion Black-owned businesses, entrepreneurship, and community empowerment
Promote group economics, collaboration, and long-term community development
Represent Bantucola’s values in all professional and community spaces
Participate in strategic planning, ecosystem development, and organizational direction
Support ethical decision-making and responsible governance practices
Help ensure transparency, accountability, and long-term sustainability
Contribute expertise, insight, and lived experience where applicable
Attend and engage in meetings, events, programs, and community initiatives
Review and prepare for discussions using provided materials and updates
Take part in committees, projects, and collaborative efforts when needed
Offer skills, time, and resources to strengthen organizational outcomes
Support fundraising efforts by identifying opportunities, partnerships, and sponsors
Contribute financially in a meaningful way based on capacity

Monthly Calendar for Bantucola
Event Attendance Requirements
Board members are required to attend at least 75% of Bantucola-hosted events annually.
Attendance at major flagship events, including Black Business Weekend, networking mixers, and ribbon cuttings, is mandatory unless excused in advance.
Board members must actively engage with attendees, business owners, and community leaders during events to strengthen relationships and support Bantucola’s mission.
If unable to attend an event, board members should notify the board chair in advance and designate an appropriate representative when possible.
Failure to meet attendance requirements without valid reasons may result in a review of board member status.

Define Clear Roles & Responsibilities – Board members should understand their duties, including governance, financial oversight, and strategic planning.
