This image shows Explorer 1 after launch. Explorer 1 was NASA’s first satellite put into orbit on January 31, 1958. Explorer 1 was carried into orbit by a Jupiter-C Rocket that launched from Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral Florida.

This image has taught me that technology has gotten so advanced that even people in space can still get medical attention when they are so far away.

The ISS is used to dock space shuttles, it is powered by about 4000 square meters of solar power panels, this is also used as a hub for 6 crew members to perform experiments such as studies of the effects of near weightlessness (microgravity), conditions on materials & biological tissues.
