Before the 1960's, women had fewer rights than men in the workplace and at home. Women wanted to obtain more responsibilities because they thought what they had at the time was not fair. Because of the protests during the second wave of feminism, women are now treated more equally and are able to obtain jobs and get equal pay in the workplace.
