During the 60s and 70s before the Kent State Massacre, Americans were in a country active in wars overseas like Vietnam and the Korean war so many students at colleges were protesting our activity in the wars. Students had the right to protest and express their feelings of the war, however the government was irresponsible and didn’t protect the safety of protesters. The event of the Kent State massacre is still remembered and has heavily influenced others today who protest our involvement in Wars in Gaza.
