Head Coach
Coach Bruce Stafford is in his first year here with Bandera High School. He is a retired military veteran with 28 years of active duty service. Hails from Seymour, Texas and has earned his Degree from Wayland Baptist University. Before joining the Bulldog Nation, he was the assistant High School Football, Basketball, and Golf coach at Fredericksburg High School.
He is married to his loving wife, Dr. Sheryl Stafford and they have raised 5 children who are now grown adults (ages 28-39). He has 4 lovely grandchildren and is truly excited to be here working with our next generation of productive and effective leaders.
Coach Weatherson is in his second year at Bandera ISD. Before joining the Bulldogs, Weatherson was the Assistant Head Football Coach at Caney Creek High School. A graduate of Texas A&M University and Conroe High School, Weatherson also previously coached at Corpus Christi King High School and Splendora High School.
Weatherson's wife, Keleigh-Shea Weatherson, is a coach on the girls' staff at Bandera Middle School. Their son, Kash, is a future Bulldog who loves spending time on the field and in the gym.
Coach Silone is in his fourth year at Bandera ISD, having served as a member of the boys basketball staff each of the last three seasons. In 2022, Silone helped lead the basketball program to its first playoff win since 2014.
Silone is a graduate of Bandera High School and Iowa Wesleyan University, where he obtained both his Bachelor's and Master's degree. Silone played collegiate football, and went on to work on the football coaching staff as a graduate assistant.
Coach Salas is in his second year at Bandera ISD, joining the program after graduating from Bandera High School, Iowa Wesleyan University (Bachelor's Degree) and Spalding University (Master's Degree).
Salas was a collegiate baseball player, and spent the last three summers coaching the Bandera Elite summer basketball team before deciding to pursue a career in Education and joining the staff at both Bandera High School and Bandera Middle School in 2024.
