Childcare

Bandera ISD recognizes the importance of accessible childcare and we are delighted to announce our partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Bandera County. The Boys & Girls Club will be available at Hill Country Elementary, Alkek Elementary, and the Boys and Girls Club Teen Center to provide a safe and enriching environment for students who need childcare on Fridays. 

Boys & Girls Club of Bandera County offers Childcare Services at Hill Country Elementary, Alkek Elementary, and the Teen Center.:

• Operational Hours during the school year:
  Monday-Thursday: 3:00 pm to 7:00pm
  Friday: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

• Meals Provided: Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be offered, ensuring that students are well-nourished throughout the day.

• Transportation: Parents are responsible for transporting their children to and from the Boys and Girls Club locations. This ensures a smooth and efficient process for families.

• Fees: For families who choose to utilize the Boys and Girls Club services, a drop-in day fee of $20 will be applicable. Alternatively, parents can opt for an annual fee of $100, providing access to the program for the entire school year. Summer Fee: $30 per child per week.” – We can keep the drop in fee but the after school yearly fee is $125 which includes M-F (with all day Fridays). If they want all day Fridays only for the school year that fee is $50. Summer is fine at$30/week.

• Club Ages:
  Ages 6 to 5th grade will go to the Hill Country Elementary or Alkek Site.
  6th graders and up will go to the Teen Center at 715 Maple Street in Bandera. 

We believe that this innovative approach to scheduling will not only benefit our students and staff but also provide valuable options for working parents within our community. The Boys and Girls Club partnership reinforces our commitment to holistic education and support for every child in the Bandera ISD family.
