Project Brief: 

You are employed as the concept designers for this new animation. 

You will need to think like a scientist and to create believable, realistic animals that could exist and survive on this planet.  

As scientists, you will be exploring and learning about animals, their environments and how they adapt to survive in these habitats.  

As scientists you will need to understand food chains, food webs and their adaptations for survival on this planet. 

This will help you in the design process for these alien animals that will be discovered during the Voyage of Discovery animation.

Planet X is: 

• Cold/Frozen planet

• Temperatures range from 16 degrees Celsius at the equator to -90 degrees Celsius at the poles.

• The planet is 70% landmass. It has many different biomes and ecosystems.

• Seas and oceans make up the remaining 30%.

• Because of its slow rotation, the days are shorter and the nights are long. 

• The gravity is similar to Earth's gravity.
