I love being the 7th grade counselor because I get to help the middle child of the middle school as they navigate through their academic and personal problems. I do a lot of conflict resolution sessions so that they know how to handle a variety of situations that life may throw their way. I believe in positive affirmations so that I can help my students' self-esteem increase. By the time the 7th graders reach the end of the school year, my hope is that they have matured so that they are prepared for their 8th grade year.
I have been coaching basketball for 4 years.
My high school girls' team won the region championship for Region 7A, and I lead them to the state championship in my first year of coaching along with my all women's coaching staff.
I am an assistant coach for the middle school girls' cross country and basketball teams at OHMS.
Obviously, I love basketball, but I am a lover of mostly all sports.
I have a total of 8 godchildren.
I genuinely enjoy reading for pleasure and traveling around the world.
I believe that we can always learn something new, no matter our age.
