Sixth Grade Counseling
Helping students excel to higher heights is my goal as the sixth grade counselor. They arrive from the elementary schools feeling a range of emotions such as being excited and nervous. Throughout the year I help them navigate being at Oak Hill Middle School by helping them adjust through this new environment. By the end of the year, students are ready and motivated to go to the seventh grade with confidence.
Fun Facts about Ms. Smith
I love being a mom to my beautiful daughter.
I was inspired to be a counselor from having positive counseling experiences at Southside Elementary and at Oak Hill Middle School. Baldwin High School counselors also provided a fun experience for us to go on college tours.
I create balance with being a school counselor by engaging in Self Care through cooking, photography, creating sites and canva presentations, mentoring, traveling, and more.
Once upon a time, I struggled being a student and I almost gave up.
I wasn't perfect, noone is, however I was dedicated to do my best.
We are all special and unique.
