Sophomore Patrick Ray has many interests, one of the most prominent being sports.
Ray enjoys playing basketball with friends and he has played with them for years. There are many aspects of playing basketball with friends that he enjoys, his favorite being the bonds he creates with teammates.
“My favorite part about playing is just being there with each other and because I’ve played basketball with them since grade school and we’ve created a bond through that and I wouldn’t want to trade that experience,” Ray said.
Ray wants to carry his passion for sports outside of high school and become a sports trainer after he graduates.
Ray wishes he had the ability to stop time so he could improve his playing and to make better decisions.
“If I was able to stop time I would make a lot better decisions on the court, field, and real life. It can give me more time to think decisions through,” Ray said.
“I want to be able to help people get better and achieve their dreams,” Ray said when asked why he wants to be a sports trainer.
In addition to becoming a sports trainer, Ray also wants to move to North Carolina after high school.
“North Carolina has a rich basketball history and is a good state to raise kids in because it's kind of close to the beach and has nice houses,” Ray said.
