Pride Weekend gets rolling with the Apollo Western Cup Lawn Bowling Competition at the Inglewood Lawn Bowling Club.
Your registration gets you a spot in the tournament, two drinks from Cold Garden + High Line Brewing, a locally made Inglewood meal and snacks, a DJ, and an evening of queer community with highly variable levels of lawn-bowling expertise.
Only 90 players get a spot on the green.
And when the last bowl stops rolling? Friday keeps going at the after party at High Line Tap Room.

Back to the Streets kicks off Friday with the Apollo Western Cup Lawn Bowling Competition, bringing friendly competition, queer community, cold drinks, local food and a DJ to the Inglewood Lawn Bowling Club.
Hosted by Apollo Friends in Sports + Western Cup, the tournament is limited to just 90 players. Registration includes your spot in the competition, two drinks from Cold Garden + High Line Brewing, a locally made Inglewood meal and snacks, plus music keeping things appropriately lively between rounds.
No championship pedigree required. Enthusiasm, questionable aim and a willingness to commit to the bit will do nicely.
The night is also part of something bigger. Apollo is building a new Pride Week tradition beyond its annual Easter Western Cup Festival, creating another place for Calgary’s 2SLGBTQIA+ communities to gather, connect, play and be visible together.
And once the final bowl has rolled, Friday is absolutely not done with you. The party keeps moving at High Line Tap Room for the after party.
