During this year's Presentation of Learning (POL), you are ready to roll with an ePortfolio to accompany your college and career applications. We are so proud of you and want to provide you feedback to sharpen your elevator speech. Colleges and employers will be knocking at your door when you knock this presentation out of the park.
As you present your POL, the underclassmen will get a chance to hear the obstacles you faced and how you overcame those challenges. You will have bragging rights of how amazing your core portfolios are and be ready to dive into your Design Capstone. Some of our students will have identified a local problem and implement a solution while others may tackle a global issue and demand immediate change. Either way, our students will be ready to make an impact with whatever they choose for their final year with us.
This next step is really where you will develop an ePortfolio rich in reflection of your learning and provide a purposeful presentation of your strengths and growth. Update all your pages this year, be sure to include your post-secondary plan on your My Plans and Goals page and add your resume you created in advisory this year.
We want you to celebrate your accomplishments and watch you grow from the this reflection process. The ePortfolio will accompany your college applications and can be linked on a resume for jobs.
We encourage you to get creative with your ePortfolio. Look at examples to get an idea of what you would like to include.

At your POL, you will share your ePortfolio to a small group of peers, staff, and parents. You will need to talk for about 10 minutes before opening the floor to questions that will hopefully encourage some short conversations about you. Sounds fun, doesn't it.
We would like you to:
Introduce yourself (About Me/My Passions Pages) and share something that you are most proud of in your ePortfolio (My Accomplishments, My Work, Me by the Numbers Pages).
Share an experience you found most memorable during the year. You may refer to personal and/or academic experiences if you feel they are relevant to your learning/education. Be sure it is included in your ePortfolio so you can refer to it when you are sharing.
Last, tell us about a competency that you rocked! Why did you rock it? Did you hit a high level? Did you show a ton of growth? Was it something you struggled with handing in all year and finally got it together? No story is too big or too small here. This is about you recognizing the challenges and celebrating the successes. And we'd like to celebrate with you! (My Work Page)
IMPORTANT for our Y3s: we expect you to make connections between what you are sharing and artifacts you included in your ePortfolio. Use the ePortfolio to guide your conversation. Work on cohesion, reflection, and connecting learning to real experiences in your life.
You will be rated on the NGE.2 presentation competency.
