Presentations of Learnings occur at the end of every school year at Bridgeview Academy.
A presentation of learning is a process where you share with a small group of peers and staff your ePortfolio (see below) and reflections specific to your learning over the past school year.
This is an opportunity to share what you learned both academically and personally. After you share you will field questions from the group.

In order to help you document your learning, you create and update a digital portfolio (called an ePortfolio) to have as your own when you graduate.
The portfolio highlights your employ-ability and academia skills for colleges and/or employers.
This Google Site will help you create and build your ePortfolio that you will share during our POL event at the end of each year.
A Presentation of Learning is the live presentation where students reflect on and demonstrate their learning over a period of time, usually to teachers, peers, families, and sometimes community members.
Key Characteristics:
Event-based: Scheduled and often formal.
Performance-driven: Involves speaking, explaining, and sometimes defending work.
Reflective: Students explain what they learned, how they learned it, and why it matters.
Personal and metacognitive: Focus on growth, challenges, and mindset shifts.
Goal:
To communicate learning, growth, and readiness to move forward (e.g., to the next grade).
An ePortfolio is a curated digital collection of student work, often spanning multiple subjects or years, that showcases evidence of learning, skills, and achievements.
Key Characteristics:
Ongoing and flexible: Can be added to over time.
Artifact-centered: Includes documents, videos, reflections, and other work samples.
Organized: Often structured by competencies, learning targets, or subjects.
Self-directed: Students choose what to include and reflect on why it matters.
Goal:
To document and archive learning in a meaningful, accessible format that can be shared or reviewed over time.
