The Classroom Projector

Every classroom should have a projector with the ability to connect to your Chromebook for the purpose of sharing your screen with the class. Some examples of when you might need to do this:

  • stream a video for the class (the teacher should have given you a link NOT a DVD)

  • a lesson that includes a presentation such as Google Slides

  • facilitating a class activity such as Kahoot or Quizizz

  • demonstrating how to use an online resource

  • etc.

Connecting Your Chromebook & Projector

This video is a short tutorial for AWRSD teachers on how to connect your new teacher Chromebook to your classroom projector. (1-min video)

The Classroom Document Camera

Not all AWRSD classrooms have document cameras. In the unlikely event that your sub plans require you to use one, please determine the type of document camera you have, and then follow the instructions in the appropriate video below.

Some examples of ways a document camera might be used:

  • project the text and images from a book or document

  • demonstrate how to use math manipulatives

  • demonstrate an art technique

  • collaboratively review or correct a document together

  • etc.
