This website is designed to be a resource for you before, during, and after your course. The pages can be viewed sequentially (using the next and back buttons at the bottom of each page) for a virtual instructional experience, or you can chose to skip around by using the menu on the left side of the screen or on in the pancake menu in the upper left corner

If this is your first time here and it's been more than a year since your last AIARE course, start with a review of The AIARE Framework page on the AIARE 1 online learning site. It is the foundation of the Decision Making in Avalanche Terrain program and your key to turn each trip in the backcountry into a learning experience. Then take the AIARE 1 review quiz to review what you learned on and since your last AIARE course.

Refer back to this website for specific questions that come up during your course. Keep this site bookmarked on your phone and review it throughout the rest of the season. Use it as a refresher at the start of next season.
