Altar Valley All-Star Partner: Holy Way Presbyterian Church

For over 20 years, the Holy Way Presbyterian has been a collaborator with Altar Valley School District. We have been able to count on the missions and support of Holy Way each year in various capacities.

Throughout the years Holy Way has supported us with:

• Back to School Drive - school supply drive (cash and supplies)

• Gift Cards to Walmart for students in need (clothing/shoes)

• Valentine’s Day cards and well wishes for our staff

• Participation in Christmas Parade (handing candy/pencils from float)

• Gift cards for classroom teachers to use as needed

• Weekly prayers as needed for individuals in our community

Altar Valley All-Star Partner: The Three Points ACE Hardware

Mohan Saimi, owner of The Three Points ACE Hardware, has been an outstanding community partner to Altar Valley School District for many years. During the pandemic he provided food bags to families through the school as well as kept bags in his store for families to pick up as needed. He has supported various school events like donating candy for Halloween events for the students.

He also spread holiday cheer to the staff with donations of $20 Gift Cards for all staff at our during the holidays. He has provided the funds for the past three years for the community Thanksgiving meal. During the summer he hosts one of our youth workers providing hands-on employment training to youth in our community. Mohan and his family are an asset to our community and very supportive of AVSD.

Altar Valley All-Star Partner: Friends of Robles Ranch

Thank you to the Friends of Robles Ranch for always supporting the Altar Valley School District. They always come through when needed and do so much for AVSD and the community. Here are just a few of the things that Friends of Robles Ranch does for AVSD.

Each year they for our 8th grade promotion they provide a financial ward for our promoting 8th grades. They provide a scholarship for community members to help pay for their schooling. AVSD has had several students and staff take advantage of this opportunity. My Friends Closet provides clothing and other resources for students and families when needed. Friends of Robles Ranch has also sponsored AVSD staff holiday celebrations providing wonderful gifts to be given to our staff. Additionally, they have donated, arts and crafts supplies, and sporting equipment. The Community Food Bank and the Friends of Robles Ranch assists families in obtaining food box as needed. The Friends of Robles Ranch are very supportive of the Altar Valley School District Community! Thank you Friends of Robles Ranch for all you do for us and the community!

Altar Valley All-Star Partner: VFW Post 10254

The Altar Valley School District would like to celebrate Jason Khalaf VFW Commander and the VFW Post 10254 Three Points for all they do to support the Altar Valley School District and the community. Just last month the VFW participated in our annual holiday parade at both schools. He and several veterans came out to Veterans Day lunch at our schools. Mr. Khalaf has held essay writing contests for our middle school students, encouraging them to advance their writing skills. For that contest students had the chance to earn cash prizes. In addition to supporting and recognizing students, the VWF also supports the recognition of Teachers, with the Teacher of the year awards for both schools. In addition, the VFW hosts and participates in activities that directly impact our students. Jason serves as a valued member of the Robles Junction/Three Points Community Festival event providing parking for the over 2000 people that attend. They host the Trunk-or-Treat event and much more.
