Westchester County Airport (also called White Plains Airport) is very close to Manhattanville, and Conference Committee volunteers can offer pickup there as well as from the White Plains Bus Station and the White Plains Train Station. Volunteers can assist those arriving at other airports in finding a limo, car service, Uber or Lyft to share with others arriving close to the same time, but will not be provided direct transportation from other airports or bus/train stations in the area. Westchester County Airport (HPN), White Plains
Pick up by Conference Volunteers from an airport is only available from this location. However is it usually much more expensive.
There are no flights from NYC area to the Westchester airport. International persons might find it easier (perhaps cheaper) to route through Atlanta, Florida, Washington DC or Charlotte, NC., from any of which you can fly on to Westchester airport.
Kennedy Int'l Airport (JFK)
Public transportation from JFK airport to Manhattanville University: First, take the AirTrain to Jamaica from any of the terminals. ($8:50: Buy a Metro Card at Hudson News stands in terminals 1,4,7, and 8 before or after security check, OR use OMNY contactless payment system.) At Jamaica you can transfer to the subway into Manhattan, Grand Central Station ($3, time: 25 minutes). Ticket machines accept cash or credit cards. In Grand Central station, transfer to the Metro North Railroad (MNR), taking the Harlem Line north to White Plains. ($9 to $11 peak hours, $13 to $15 off peak. Train leaves every 20 minutes, time 51 minutes). Best/cheapest choice may be to purchase a "Combo" ticket from the ticket machine in Jamaica. For a flat $8, it covers both the train into Grand central and the train on to White Plains. In White Plains transit center, pick up the BEE Line Bus #12 (Anderson Hill Road) to the campus (fare $2.75 or $1.35 Seniors. If you are not using a Metrocard you must have the exact fare. Time: 25 minutes). Total time averages 2 hours and 45 minutes.
LaGuardia Airport (LGA)

From La Guardia: At Terminal A, "Marine Air Terminal," get the "M60-SBS" bus. Take it to the 125 St/Park Ave station, NYC. (Metro card: one ride at $2.90. Time: 39 minutes) Transfer (couple minutes walk) to the "Harlem-125 St. Station" of the Metro North train line, and take the train to White Plains. Train leaves every 20 minutes, fare $8 to $14, time: 45 minutes. In White Plains transit center, pick up the BEE Line Bus #12 (Anderson Hill Road) to the campus (fare $2.75 or $1.35 Seniors. If you are not using a Metrocard you must have the exact fare. Time: 25 minutes).

From Newark, NJ: At Newark Airport, take the AirTrain to New Jersey Transit Airport Station (free, time 10-25 min). Take NJ Transit Train to "NY Penn Station" (fare $13, leaves every 20 minutes at peak hours, every 30 minutes off peak). At Penn Station, you must take the subway to Grand Central station. To do so, take the #1 ,2, or 3 train going to Times Square and there transfer to the shuttle (S) train to Grand Central station. (Metro card, $5.80 will cover 2 rides. Time:about 20 min ). At Grand Central take the Metro North Railroad to White Plains($9-11 peak hours of 6-9 and 4-8 weekdays, or $4-8 off peak). In White Plains transit center, pick up the BEE Line Bus #12 (Anderson Hill Road) to the campus (fare $2.75 or $1.35 Seniors. If you are not using a Metrocard you must have the exact fare. Time: 25 minutes).
TRAIN & BUS
If you take the train or a commercial bus (MegaBus, Greyhound, etc.) you won't be able to make it all the way to Manhattanville University. You will need to bus to New York and then switch to the local rail or bus. By train, you can take the Metro North Railroad from NYC Grand Central Terminal. It will be the Harlem Division Line to White Plains. You would then need to take the Beeline Bus 012 to Manhattanville University.
It is a 5 minute walk from the White Plains train station to the #12 bus located in Lane B which takes you right to the college. The bus ride is approx. 25 minutes. Adult Fare is $2.75 and fare for seniors is $1.35. They accept NYC Metrocards. If you are not using a Metrocard you must have the exact fare.

Peak fares from Grand Central Station on Weekdays are 6 AM to 9 AM and 4 PM to 8 PM.
Off-peak fares are charged all other times on weekdays, all day Saturday and Sunday, and on holidays.
