Meetings & Events

Meetings are held the second Tuesday of every month September-May at 7:00 p.m. Meetings are take place at Heritage North in the Media Room, (35575 Detroit Road).

The President usually opens meetings with announcements.  At the first meeting of the year, he or she will also introduce you to the Executive Board and tell a little about what each role does.  He/she will then turn the meeting over to the Executive Board who will give updates on events being planning and/or general updates.  Don't feel like you're behind or missing anything, all of the events and activities you will hear about will be on CheddarUp with more detailed information.  We will also be given an update on the group's finances by the Treasurer.  Occasionally, we will have speaker that will present on a topic that is important or of interest to our families.

Afterwards, members may gather at a local Avon establishment and enjoy some social time.  

Fun for Everyone in the Family!

The Avon Early Childhood PTA offers several free events throughout the year to our members and their families, including our annual Back to School Bash, a Valentine's Day dance, an Easter egg hunt, and an end of the year family pool party in June.

We also offer monthly field trips for the kiddos (some at a small cost) to area places such as Peace Love Little Donuts and the Avon Fire Station.  We plan pumpkin picking in the fall, popcorn making in the spring, and many indoor playdates in the wintertime.  If you're interested in hosting an event or have an idea for an event, please reach out to childrenparties@avon-ecpta.org.

And last, but not least, we plan several fun outings for our parents each year, including a Mom's Holiday Lights Limo Bus Tour each December and a celebratory end of year dinner for our graduating members.  If you have suggestions for parent events, please reach out to memberengagement@avon-ecpta.org.
