Second Mobility Report – Grimbergen, Belgium
The second mobility of the Erasmus project "Outdoor Learning – From Local to Global" took place in Grimbergen, Belgium, and marked an important step in the project's collaborative journey. This mobility offered participants the opportunity to explore how outdoor education can thrive in more urban or semi-urban environments, using public spaces, school grounds, and local green areas as dynamic learning settings.
Through a rich program of workshops, school visits, and interactive outdoor activities, educators shared experiences and discovered creative ways to bring learning beyond the classroom. Special attention was given to how outdoor learning can foster student engagement, environmental awareness, and well-being.
Grimbergen’s blend of historical charm, green spaces, and innovative educational practices provided a motivating and supportive context for exchange. This mobility not only strengthened professional connections but also deepened the shared commitment to creating meaningful, nature-connected learning experiences for students across Europe.
