The Tiger Works Fellowship is an exclusive opportunity for advanced and self-motivated students from across Avenues campuses to create impactful solutions for real world problems. The goal of this program is to further the mission of Avenues by allowing students to work on global scale problems while in school, enhancing their preparation to become world-wise leaders and pursue ambitious post-secondary training. During J-Term, Tigerworks Fellows will have the time and space to focus on their projects and accelerate their progress.
During J-Term, three Avenues New York Students continued their work on Project Nibbler. (Learn more about Project Nibbler here.) Project Nibbler can be broken down to three main areas of focus to move the work forward which include, refining the shredder, the puck making process, and lastly puck placement process to use the recycled materials to create something new. The past three weeks the students have focused on the puck making process, sepcificially automating the process so it can be done by machine.
