Youth Career Preparedness

This is a poster of what my idea would start at. I would make a poster and a syllabus of what the club might look like. This is what teachers would give to students as the club would be a school club. It is mainly to teach high school students how to dress, act, and interview for jobs. It will also help high school students do their transcripts and allow them to get ideas on what to say and do to help them get jobs. It will also help high school students that have less money or need to work as soon as possible for their families. This is a way to help students for later in life and for them to have a tool in their belt for when they need a job.

It took a long time to come up with this idea. I mainly got if from reading articles about jobless youth and seeing work experiences from my dad. It was hard because I kept changing my Idea from having a billboard to elective to club to syllabus. I was going to look at different companies of different views and see what they thought when they hired youth employees. I looked at big and small companies and worldwide and local companies. I then was going to send emails to them and ask them questions and get my feedback and work on with that. I learned that getting a job is hard and not only that it’s hard after you start. You need to keep up with many other things and stay organized. I learned that not all people have the same chance as others to be successful. If COVID-19 did not happen I would have made a syllabus of all the activities I would have and how long it would take for teachers to teach. I would make a syllabus because not all schools have teachers that can go after school and teach students. Plus some schools might not have all the resources they need to make another club or do events after school.
