Students are placed in groups of 2 or 3 based on personal working styles and interests. Partners share the roles of Chief Marketing, Information, and Operating Officers.
Case studies in design thinking illustrate how problem-solvers used empathy to understand authentic needs of end-users, so they could design accordingly. Examples: Adventure Series children MRI machines, Embrace incubator sack.
Using the SCAMPER technique for creative thinking (substitute, combine, adapt, modify, put to another use, eliminate and reverse), new ideas are formed by using regular everyday objects and books as inspiration.
