Mr. Klein

I am so happy to continue my career as the fifth vocal music director at Fitch High School and my tenth year teaching in the district. I look forward to an exciting year and anticipate great things from the department. Upon graduation from Fitch High School, I was accepted into the Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University as a pianist/music education major. There, I studied classical/contemporary piano and the voice. I have had the opportunity to study piano and choral music with professors from Indiana University, UCLA, The University of Texas A&M, The Pasadena Conservatory of the Arts, and the Julliard School. I also have had the opportunity to sing on stage with performers from Broadway, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and Barry Manilow. I currently hold a Bachelors of Music from Youngstown State University and a Masters in Music from Kent State University. My graduate work specialized in voice detection, teaching techniques, and self-efficacy with the adolescent male changing voice. I am currently a doctoral student at Kent State University pursuing a Ph.D. in Music Education. My musical inspirations are former teachers Caroline Oltmanns, Craig Resta, Steven Ausmann, Hae-Jong Lee, and Susan Cogdill. Currently, I reside in Austintown with my wife, Megan (Ferguson) Klein, our son Liam, and our dog Charley. I look forward to meeting all parents and guardians throughout the school year!
