Attachment Theory: An attachment-based approach to therapy looks at the connection between an infant’s early attachment experiences with primary caregivers, usually with parents, and the infant’s ability to develop normally and ultimately form healthy emotional and physical relationships as an adult. Attachment-based therapy aims to build or rebuild a trusting, supportive relationship that will help prevent or treat mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression.

DBT: Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a modified type of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Its main goals are to teach people how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships with others. DBT can be a helpful option of treatment for depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.

Person Centered: Also known as Rogerian therapy, this is a client-based form of therapy that empowers the client to take ownership of their mental well-being. It shifts the focus from the mental health professional to the client and allows them to have control of the therapeutic process. Person-centered therapy provides a safe space for clients to become more self-aware and find their own solutions.  Person-centered therapy can be helpful for various types of mental health conditions, such as anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
