SEL and CP&I Resources
Equity Pause: We understand that some of the Symposium sessions may address some big, heavy topics for attendees. In light of that, we invite you to engage in our agreements - practice staying engaged and experiencing discomfort.
And, if you need to, for yourself or your attendees, take an “Equity Pause” notice and reflect based on the ideas below.
Notice: Practice self-awareness (examine your own identity, values, emotions, bias, power, assumptions). Notice the situation (consider the context, people, power, history, and current state).
Reflect: Pause to reflect internally or through writing on actions, impact, emotions, relationships. Breathe. Consider how we might adjust our assumptions, intentions, presence, and direction where and when necessary.
