Seed Model Campuses

Celebrate Our 22-23 Seed Model Campuses

30 Austin ISD schools have participated in the 2022-2023 Seed Model Campus Program. Below, campuses explore how they are implementing social and emotional learning and cultural proficiency on deep, intentional levels using the four critical practice areas, identified by CASEL.

Prepare to be inspired! Their stories are shared below.

Campus Stories

The Seed Model Campus Cohort supports campuses throughout Austin Independent School District in their journey of goal-oriented, intentional, campus-wide equitable SEL and CP&I integration into school culture and systems. Especially, over the past school year, these campuses have committed to deepening their work through extremely difficult conditions.

Learn directly from the campuses regarding their extraordinary work in each of the four CASEL critical practice areas. Consider how you might be able in integrate those practices in your campus plan.

Critical Practice Area 1: Take time to cultivate and deepen relationships, build partnerships, and plan for SEL.

Critical Practice Area 2: Design opportunities where adults can connect, heal, and build their capacity to support students.

Critical Practice Area 3: Create safe, supportive, and equitable learning environments that promote all students' social and emotional development.

Critical Practice Area 4: Use data as an opportunity to share power, deepen relationships, and continuously improve support for students, families, and staff.
