PPfT Oversight Committee
What is the PPfT Oversight Committee?
The PPfT Oversight Committee is a collaborative group of teachers and campus administrators representing all vertical teams, Education Austin representatives, and district representatives from the Offices of Human Capital and School Leadership.
The committee meets regularly to review data and feedback and participates in collaborative work around continuous system improvements in order to make recommendations to district leadership around the PPfT Appraisal and Compensation Systems.
The PPfT Oversight Committee is a recommending body. The committee makes consensus recommendations that are then presented to district leadership for final consideration.

The PPfT Oversight Committee is guided by the following principles:
The Austin ISD PPfT Appraisal System must:
• reflect Austin ISD’s priorities and values;
• elevate and professionalize teaching;
• promote collaboration;
• provide for the continual professional development of teachers;
• support student achievement and growth;
• consider research and best practice;
• consider all teaching positions;
• evolve as a work in progress; and
• work as a part of the larger PPfT Human Capital System.
