Meet the Directors

Mr. Wright is the Head Band Director, Orchestra Director and Drumline Instructor at GGYMLA. He has taught at YMLA for 5 years and has enjoyed working with our young leaders. He enjoys video games, books, Marvel movies, playing his tuba with the Austin Cinematic Symphony, and spending time with his wife and son. Mr. Wright received his Bachelor of Music Education from the Georgia Southern University.

Mr. Bernal is from the great city of Dallas and studied clarinet under clarinetists such as Sharon Knox-Deuby, Dr. Carol Jessup, and Dr. Cheyenne Cruz. He loves video games, rock climbing, and powerlifting. This is his first year teaching and is excited to start off at our state’s capital city! Mr. Bernal received his Bachelor’s degree in Music with teacher certification from the University of Texas at Arlington.
