PEW Research Center conducted a study about New Year’s resolutions where data was collected from January 16-21, 2024. They found that they are especially popular among younger adults, with health and wealth being top priorities. A recent study found that across all age groups, 79% of resolution-makers focused on improving their health, including exercise and diet. Financial goals followed closely at 61%, while personal relationships (57%), hobbies (55%), and career (49%) were also significant areas of focus. The research revealed that 59% of adults who made resolutions have successfully kept all of them so far, with 28% keeping some. Interestingly, 12% of those who didn't make resolutions cited breaking them too easily as the main reason.
