About me

As a Science, Engineering, and Mathematics (SEM) faculty advisor and adjunct associate professor in the Department of Mathematics, my mission is to support you in achieving your academic and career goals. Working in collaboration with your regular academic and student support advisors, I aim to guide you through your introductory science and mathematics courses, assist in solidifying your career aspirations, and provide support in navigating the transfer process to four-year institutions, both in-state and out-of-state.

As a faculty advisor, I am passionate about helping you discover your interests and narrow your focus to a fulfilling career path that aligns with your talents and aspirations. Together, we will explore the wealth of opportunities available at ACC and chart a personalized path for your academic success. It is an exciting time to be part of the SEM community, and I am here to help you make the most of it!

In my role as a mathematics professor, I strive to instill an appreciation for the beauty and utility of mathematics. Whether your goal is to complete a single required course for your degree or to pursue the full sequence of advanced mathematics courses at ACC in preparation for transferring as a math major, I am committed to helping you succeed. Beyond my professional roles, I am a proud mother of seven children, four of whom have been or are currently ACC students. Each of my children is pursuing a unique and successful career path, including workforce management, genetics and cellular biology, medical laboratory science, data engineering, Japanese language studies, optometry, and culinary arts. My younger children are passionate about physics and animal science. My dedication to my family mirrors the commitment I bring to my students, and I am equally invested in your success.
