This program is free of charge to participants as it is funded through the ASES grant and ELO-P appropriation. However, donations help the program tremendously and are openly welcomed.
AUSD Adventures offers expanded day programs at all elementary school sites in the district. The average enrollment at each site varies, ranging from 100 to 220 students.
Beginning the summer of 2023, students who meet the definition of an unduplicated pupil will be given priority to enroll in any Adventures program. "Unduplicated pupil" means a pupil enrolled in a school district or a charter school classroom-based instructional program who is either classified as an English Learner, eligible for a free or reduced priced meal through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), or is a foster youth.
Beginning the summer of 2026, all TK-6th grade pupils in classroom-based AUSD programs during enrollment periods are offered and granted access to Adventures programs with a priority provided to unduplicated pupils.
AUSD Adventures Expanded Learning Programs uses the Blackboard Connect system to send out important program information to qualifying students and enrolled participants. Emails will come from BlackboardConnect-do-not-reply@ausd.us. Parents/Guardians of qualifying students who do not receive the emails may have opt out of the mailing system. Parents/Guardians may opt back into receiving emails from Blackboard Connect by following this handout.
Our program uses the Guardian Email listed in PowerSchool. Please contact the front office at your child's school in order to update the guardian email on file.
