Concert Choir is the introductory mixed voice ensemble at Arcadia High School. Concert Choir students perform a wide range of music from traditional choral to musical repertoire and pop music. Students of all ability levels are welcome to join. No audition required.
Students will learn the fundamentals of music reading and vocal technique. Concert Choir will participate in Fall, Winter, Spring, and May concerts.
This ensemble tours every year.
Also known as the Chanteurs, is an auditioned based mixed voice ensemble at Arcadia High School. Students in Chanteurs strive for the highest standard of performances and learn a variety of challenging music. Audition is required to enroll. Students are expected to maintain enrollment status once admitted.
Singers in Chanteurs focus on developing high-level musicianship and performance skills through the study of diverse repertoire in classical, pop, jazz, musical, and contemporary music. The rehearsals emphasize on advanced vocal production, choral techniques, sight-reading, ear training, and performance practice. Chanteurs appear in the regular 4 concerts every school year with other performance commitments such as school assemblies, SCVA festivals, chamber groups, and solo gigs.
