Arcadia High School Choirs
Arcadia High School offers two different levels of choral experience to all students on campus.
The Concert Choir is open to all students at all levels.
Advanced Chorus is an audition-based group with advanced singers.

High School Choral Program Structure
Concert Choir
Concert Choir is the introductory mixed voice ensemble at Arcadia High School for anyone who wants to explore and enjoys singing. Students of all ability levels are welcome to join.
Students will learn the fundamentals of music reading and vocal technique. Concert Choir will participate in Fall, Winter, Spring, and May concerts.
Some rehearsal time outside of class is required.
Advanced Chorus
Also known as the Chanteurs, the students in Advanced Chorus are selected based on auditions*. Chanteurs is showcased as a traditional choir for the first half of the school year and will transition into a Show Choir ensemble in the second semester. Students are expected to participate in Fall, Winter, Spring, and May concerts, as well as other performance engagements, such as music festivals, on or off campus.
Students will continue to develop their skills in music reading, basic music theory, vocal technique, and basic dance choreography.
Music reading ability is strongly encouraged.
* Auditions are held the previous spring semester. (see information below)
Late auditions can be arranged based on Ms. Tu’s availability.

Please sign up during lunch, after 3:30 PM on Wednesday (4/24) and/or after 3:45 PM on Thursday and Friday (4/25-26).

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
Range: Simple Vocal Scales and Exercises
Star Spangled Banner (Acappella in any given key. Sing until the word “gleaming”)
Tonal Memory (Pitches sing back)
Sight-reading exercise
Book us for your event!
30-45 minute set - $300-500
Star Spangled Banner - $50 (A Cappella)
Specialized Song Requests - $250 per song (2-3 weeks)
Additional cost to bring their own sound system
