Steve Kemp

College Baseball Hall of Fame- 2023

Hall of Fame CriteriaAfter his time at AHS, Kemp played baseball at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles from 1973-1975. In 2023, he was named to the College Baseball Hall of Fame. Kemp became a professional baseball outfielder, playing in the MLB for the Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox, New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Texas Rangers. He mostly played in the outfield, as a hitter, or first baseman. During his best season in 1979, he hit .318 with 26 home runs and 105 RBI.

jim Mohr

CIF MVP - 1978

Hall of Fame CriteriaJim was named by the L.A Times and the Pasadena Star as Running Back of the Year and All-San Gabriel Valley Defensive Back of the Year along with being selected Most Valuable Player in the Pacific League and named to the All-CIF First Team. He played for the Northern Arizona State University before tearing his ACL, ending his football career in college. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father.

Clay matthews JR.

Hall of Fame CriteriaClay Matthews is an American former professional football player who was a linebacker for the Cleveland Browns and the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). He is also the father of Super Bowl winner Clay Matthews III. His father Clay Matthews also played in the NFL. The family continues to be a football powerhouse.

Richard Leach

Hall of Fame CriteriaUSC men's tennis coach Dick Leach, a former Trojan All-American who has led USC to three NCAA titles in his 23-year coaching career. He has been named coach of the year multiple times and has taught 30+ NCAA single champs/ All- American star players. Leach started as a high school tennis coach at Arcadia High School.

Tracy smith

Olympian Runner

Hall of Fame CriteriaAmerican distance runner. He was a 1968 U.S. Olympic Track and Field Team member, competing in the 10,000 meters. He was the number 1 runner in America in the late 1960s. He previously ran from Arcadia High School, getting a mile of 4:14. He continued to become a coach before retiring.

Bruce Bochte

Major League Baseball Player

Hall of Fame CriteriaAmerican former professional baseball first baseman and outfielder who played in Major League Baseball from 1974–1982 and 1984–1986. He played for the Angels, Mariners, and more. He was also chosen as the All-Star American League. He played for 12 years before he retired and got honored in the Santa Clara University Hall of Fame.

Chris arnold

MLB Player

Hall of Fame CriteriaAmerican former infielder in Major League Baseball. He was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 11th round of the 1965 Major League Baseball Draft and played for the Giants from 1971 to 1976. He previously played for Arcadia High School as well. He now owns a successful sports agency.

Hall of Fame CriteriaAmerican former professional baseball first baseman and designated hitter who played for the Montreal Expos, Texas Rangers, and Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball. He previously played for Arcadia High School as well.

Mike Saxon

Super Bowl Winner

Hall of Fame CriteriaAmerican former professional football player who was a punter in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots, and Minnesota Vikings. He played college football for the San Diego State Aztecs. He won Super Bowl XXVII with the Cowboys over the Buffalo Bills. He attended Arcadia High School and was inducted into the Pasadena City College Sports Hall of Fame.

Mark smith

MLB Player

Hall of Fame CriteriaHe played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Baltimore Orioles, Pittsburgh Pirates, Florida Marlins, Montreal Expos, and Milwaukee Brewers. He previously played in Arcadia High School and proceeded to receive the Steve Palermo Award for heroism from the Baseball Assistance Team (B.A.T.) for his actions in July 2000, when he rescued a man whose car had crashed and was on fire

Bill Seinsoth

1968 College World Series Most Outstanding Player Award

Hall of Fame CriteriaFirst baseball player to win 1968 College World Series Most Outstanding Player award as a junior at USC. Seinsoth played for the Alaska Goldpanners of the Alaska Baseball League from 1966 to 1968. He was named the Goldpanners' team MVP in 1967. He has also played for Arcadia High School beforehand. He was signed to the dodgers in the time of his passing.

Melissa Coombes

1994 - Silver Bullets Player

Hall of Fame CriteriaMelissa was the only left-hander on the Silver Bullets pitching staff, and she finished second on the team in both games started (10) and games completed (2). She continued her softball career at Cal State Fullerton. She ultimately ended up as a silver bullets player in 1994

Michael Lansford

NFL Player

Hall of Fame CriteriaHe played for the Los Angeles Rams from (82-90) There he achieved 51 extra points, leading the league for them. He is also one of seven barefooted kickers in NFL history. He has been in 6 different football teams in the USA, including the Chiefs and Giants.

Rena Wang

Olympian

Hall of Fame CriteriaShe was invited by the Badminton World Federation to compete at the 2012 Olympics in the women’s singles event. Her sister, Iris Wang, is also a badminton player and her doubles partner. Rena Wang won bronze in the women’s singles and women’s doubles events with her sister at the 2009 Pan Am Badminton Championships in Guadalajara, Mexico. She previously attended Arcadia High School where she also played Badminton.

Hall of Fame CriteriaAmerican professional golfer currently playing on the LPGA Tour. She won the Junior Golf Championships at the age of 7. She also won the California Women's Amateur Championship as a 12 year old and again as a 14 year old, was the youngest player at the 2011 U.S. Women's Amateur, was co-medalist at a U.S. Women's Amateur, and was the youngest player in the field at the 2012 U.S. Women's Open (also the second youngest in history).

John Schumacher

NFL Player

Hall of Fame CriteriaJohn Schuhmacher is a former professional football player in the NFL. He started out in Arcadia High School before playing for the USC Trojans. He played offensive lineman for six seasons with the Houston Oilers.
