Hello AHS Students and Families!
We are so excited to welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year! Thanks to our tremendous community of skilled staff, enthusiastic students, and supportive families, Arcadia High School is an organization committed to the success of each and every student. Our purpose is to challenge and inspire students to make a positive and profound impact on their world and we are in awe of what our students accomplish both at AHS and beyond.
High school is a time for students to truly explore their interests and develop previously unknown talents in academics, the arts, athletics, leadership and more. There are so many opportunities for students to challenge themselves with new and exciting activities, from learning a new language, performing on stage in front of family and friends, to running for student government offices. Students can even start their own clubs so there is truly something for everyone at AHS! Check the student bulletin on the AHS website or download the AHS app, Arcadia High Mobile, to see what exciting opportunities await you!
With all of this excitement and opportunity, there can also be times where students can become overwhelmed and we are here to help. A dedicated counselor is assigned to each student who will be with them starting in 9th grade and will continue to be alongside them all the way to graduation. Our counseling team includes a Wellness Counselor who is there when a little extra support is needed and who can help build healthy strategies in responding to stressful times. We also have a College and Career Counselor to help students throughout their high school journey to explore different careers, learn more about university options, and walk you through the college selection and application process.
We are excited to partner with you throughout your child's high school journey and believe that open communication enhances your child's educational experience. We encourage addressing concerns directly where they originate, as this approach not only leads to quicker resolutions but also builds the important relationships that directly support our students. By fostering direct and positive dialogue at all levels, we create immediate solutions and build a strong, supportive community for your child's success making these high school years meaningful and memorable.
Thank you all for your continued positive support of our students and for being a part of our amazing AHS community. It continues to be an honor and a privilege to serve as your principal and I look forward to another great year together!
All the best,
Angie Dillman
