CALIFORNIA KICKBALL
The game is played like softball with the following modifications:
Use a utility ball or large dodgeball.
The pitcher rolls the ball and the batter kicks it.
The batter is allowed only one pitch (unless teacher indicates otherwise).
Any ball hitting the far WALL is considered a homerun.
Any ball caught off of wall, ceiling, or hanging object is considered an out.
The batter runs whether the ball is kicked fair or foul.
If batter kicks ball into the kicking team and ball touches a team member, batter is out.
First base is the only base that the fielding team can touch to get a batter out (force out). All other bases, the fielder must tag the runner or throw the ball and hit them to get them out.
Three runners may get on any base at one time and stay, running when they think it is safe to try for another base.
On any kicked balls, if the fielding team throws the ball back to the pitcher, the runners between bases must go back to the previous base, if the pitcher is on the mound.
Any runner caught off base on a caught fly ball is automatically out.
Any player trying to bunt a pitched ball is automatically out.
