The Hinkley High School Theatre Department is an IB theatre. This means the classes are aligned with the IB curriculum.

A student need not be an IB Candidate to enroll in theatre classes, or to participate in Main Stage productions.

Hinkley Theatre produces two full Main Stage Productions a year: a fall play and a spring musical

Hinkley Thespians sponsor three cabaret performances a year on the Main Stage, allowing Thespians to perform new work.

IB Senior Theatre Company produces one to two collaborative performances a year in addition to each student's own IB Solo performance.

Beginning with this 21-22 school year, the spring musical will be rehearsed and build during the school day, in Advanced Performing Arts.
