Beginning December 8th, we will be offering required ESY Data Workshops for all case managers and service providers who are considering or have already determined ESY for one or more students on their caseloads. As of December 1st, an ESY workshop is required prior to determining ESY eligibility for a student.
These required workshops will guide staff through a structured process to analyze and interpret each student’s IEP goal progress data using the district ESY Decision flowchart and decision-making tools.
During the session, case managers and relevant team members will review data, apply the ESY criteria, discuss patterns of regression and recoupment, and document your recommendations.
ESY Data Workshops are scheduled through the end of February. After February, ESS Coordinators will be offering network-specific data workshops. If you have students you are considering for ESY and have not yet attended an ESY workshop, please either register for an upcoming February workshop, or reach out to your ESS Coordinator about your network-specific workshop.
Upcoming February workshops are as follows:
Thursday, February 5th, 2:30-3:30 (virtual)
Tuesday, February 10th, 8:15-9:15 (virtual)
Tuesday, February 17th, 2:30-3:30 (virtual)
Thursday, February 19th, 8:30-9:30 (virtual)
Friday, February 27th, 11:30-12:30 (virtual)
Please sign up here for the session of your choice. You will receive a calendar invite shortly after signing up. Thank you for your commitment to ensuring ESY decisions are grounded in meaningful data and aligned to student need.
