Reflection

As students move through their education, experiences will begin to present themselves that cause them to reconsider their perspective, change their mind, or deepen their understanding. As these experiences occur, you will want to students record them in their portfolios for future reference.

This step is essential to the development of a visible learning portfolio. A portfolio is not just a file drawer of papers and assignments; it is a place to record not just what they did, but also what they learned from it, how it fits in the context of their education, and how they think they will use the experience in the future.

Students can record their reflection a text box in the "comments" area of each artifact they load to the Learning Portfolio.
