An Avenues Parallel Program (APP) student needs to attend daily from 12:20pm-3:25pm (from 11:45am-2:35pm on Wednesdays).   Students who show up more than 30 minutes after the APP day starts may be turned away for the day.  If students need to arrive late or leave early, they need to communicate these arrangements with Avenues ahead of time.

Students are given two periods of each of the core content courses for Language Arts and Math, plus an additional elective support class.  Students also have two online asynchronous classes for Social Studies and Science (seven periods in total).  

Content courses are credit-bearing courses in the following subjects: 

• Language Arts

• Math

• Science

• Social Studies

A student who is eligible for concurrent enrollment is encouraged to apply for a course with Pickens Technical College (PTC) or with the Community College of Aurora (CCA).  The student's concurrent enrollment course will be part of the student's regular school schedule, which means that a student might only take one core content course per session with their concurrent enrollment course.
