B.R.I.D.G.E. Affinity Group

A space for building Brotherhood, Resilience, Inclusion, Diversity, Growth, and Empowerment!

Focus: Empowering current and aspiring male leaders of color in education to thrive personally and professionally through a supportive community, targeted leadership development, and collaborative advocacy.

Purpose: This affinity group seeks to provide a safe, inclusive space where male leaders of color can discuss their unique experiences, develop essential leadership competencies, and build collective capacity to drive equity and excellence in the district’s schools. By addressing these leaders' systemic barriers, BRIDGE aims to foster resilience, representation, and impactful leadership that benefits students, staff, and the broader community.

B.R.I.D.G.E. is a district-supported initiative designed to:

Build Community: Offer a dedicated space for male leaders of color to connect, share experiences, and support one another.
Develop Leadership: Provide professional development aligned with research-based competencies that address the unique challenges and opportunities for educators of color.
Advance Equity: Equip participants to lead through the lens of equity, dismantling systemic barriers and fostering culturally responsive practices within schools.
Prioritize Wellness: Support mental health, emotional well-being, and balance for leaders navigating racialized spaces.
