We are thrilled that you are embarking on a journey dedicated to fostering academic success, emotional well-being, and personal growth for all youth. We are further excited that you are exploring the Anaheim Union High School District (AUHSD) as the agency that can support your journey. Your role as interns is vital in supporting students, schools, and our mission.
Our commitment to building and supporting career pathways for young professionals like you is unwavering. As school social workers, school counselors, and school psychologists, we understand the importance of comprehensive support systems in education. Here’s how our efforts align with our shared goals:
Supporting Our Efforts in Schools: We believe in creating nurturing and inclusive environments where every student can thrive. Your work will be integral to implementing programs and initiatives that support our students' diverse needs.
Helping Children Reach Their Academic Goals: Academic success is at the heart of our mission. You will play a crucial role in helping students overcome challenges and reach their full potential by providing targeted interventions, guidance, and support.
Taking a Whole Child Approach: We recognize that academic success is deeply intertwined with emotional and social well-being. Our whole-child approach ensures that we address our students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Your holistic support will be essential in this process.
Ensuring Equity and Justice: Equity and justice are foundational principles in our work. We are committed to dismantling barriers and creating equitable opportunities for all students, regardless of their background. Your contributions will help us advance our efforts toward a more just and inclusive educational environment.
As you begin your internship, know that you are joining a community dedicated to making a positive impact. We understand that our efforts include collaborating and communicating with your university leaders, professors, and field instructors. We are here to support, guide, and learn from you. Together, we will create meaningful change and empower our students to achieve their dreams.
Thank you for your commitment and enthusiasm. We look forward to a productive and inspiring journey together.
